While slowly getting to know this city I notice some tid bits about the city which appear interesting to me. Having lived in Delhi I may say that this city doesnt have the “loud mouthness” of Delhi. Listen to any random conversation, interact with bus conductors, auto drivers, small vendors and it becomes more apparent.

Spotted few sparrows today and felt happy. Mostly get to see crows which are quite plenty as they feast on the garbage scattered around the bis (more outside than inside).

About names of the various places, to name a few Vapi (rhymes with paapi (sinner)), bhandup (reminds of bhand), chakala…mulund may remind you of various words based on your creativity 🙂 but then the fact that the only good sounding name Bombay was changed to Mumbai 🙂 🙂

  1. Mumbai is so different from Delhi… having stayed there for 8 years, I quite liked the place… except for the mad rush anywhere and everywhere.
I like to call it Bombay… I like the ring to it!

    1. Thanks for visiting the blog and commenting 🙂 , writing a blog and receiving no remark seems like talking to oneself, so that way it really feels good to see you have taken pains to comment on the three blogs 🙂

Yes I agree Mumbai appears far better than Delhi not just due to beaches and other attractions but also the way people interact (in whatever little time they have) and go out of way to genuinely help you in matters as small as finding your way in the city.

Just a small comparison to make, if you look at bus conductors in Delhi you find private ones shouting hoarse for passengers and govt. ones sitting with such a sullen face that you dont feel like even asking them anything whereas here the change is refreshing 🙂
